LETTER of Support
Dear Church, Ministry leaders and friends,
I am writing to you today to express my need for your support to accomplish the important work of sharing the hope found in God’s word to hopeless and needy women.
I have worked for years to develop a plan for teaching the hope found in God’s word through Bible Studies designed for women and children based on the Old Testament book, Isaiah the 54th chapter along with other scriptures, which encourage women and children to grow closer to God through the reading and application of biblical principles.
I began with Isaiah 54 because it is directed to the desolate and barren women, telling them, “Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed” (Isaiah 54:4) and “For a mere moment I have forsaken you, but with great mercy I will gather you” (Isaiah 54:7). These verses are an complete expression of hope for all women who feel oppressed or made weary by the world’s problems.
This method instructs women to take hold of the truth found in the Bible. Then begin to build with confidence on the sure foundation of God’s word as we look forward to a new future.
Who am I?
Mother of five children - I raised my children in South Jersey for more than 20 years. During that time, I had the privilege of working in healthcare, primarily in Hospice care for most of that time. It was because of hospice I became a Chaplain. My walk of faith doesn’t begin there — it actually began many years earlier.
As a child, I often wondered about God; what He looked like, was He real and did He really see my pain and hear my cries? My curiosity took me on a long journey. Through most of my adult life I searched for God, while making one mistake after another. It was after having a very personal encounter with God, that I surrendered my life to Him. This was just the beginning of my desire to share the hope in God which I experienced.
This is the day.
I believe this is the day, the season of life to be spent sharing the hope of God’s love through His Word to women and children. My focus is to facilitate Bible study groups, conferences and one on one sessions with women in the United States and Ukraine. The war has uprooted many families and we know change is difficult, sometimes scary. Through study sessions, conferences and small group meetings, I will strive to bring the best the Bible has to give. To show women the path to a fearless, joy filled life in Christ that is available to each person who takes hold of the truth and believes. They will begin to experience the joy of knowing and growing in their personal relationship with God.
I am grateful to work with women and children. To provide these individuals with the resources and support they need to overcome many challenges and begin to thrive. I know the work is not easy, but I believe it is essential.
I need you
Here is how you can get involved. My goal is to raise $25,000 during the remainder of 2024. This money will provide for travel and related expenses to Ukraine. In addition to traveling to Ukraine, I am scheduled to facilitate a conference and small group bible study in Philadelphia and New Jersey with a pro-life crisis pregnancy center.
The activities and results we can expect from the conferences, Bible studies, and personal encounters in the US and Ukraine are as follows:
- Conferences:
- Provide a forum for women and children to learn about God and grow in their faith.
- Offer opportunities for networking and fellowship.
- Inspire women and children to live their lives in accordance with God's word.
- Bible studies:
- Provide a deeper understanding of the Bible.
- Help women and children apply biblical principles to their lives.
- Offer a safe and supportive space for women and children to share their experiences.
- Personal encounters:
- Provide one-on-one support and encouragement.
- Offer a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on.
- Help women and children find hope and healing.
The results of these activities can be far-reaching. Women and children who participate in these events may experience the following:
- Increased knowledge of the Bible:
- This can help them to better understand God's character and His plan for their lives.
- Improved mental and emotional health:
- This can help them to cope with stress, anxiety, and depression.
- Strengthened relationships:
- This can help them to build stronger relationships with their families, friends, and community.
- Develop a sense of hope and purpose:
- This can help them to see their lives in a new light and to find meaning in their suffering.
I believe that the conferences, Bible studies, and personal encounters in the US and Ukraine have the potential to make a real difference in the lives of women and children. I am excited to see the positive impact that these events will have and I know you will too!
Together we can make a difference in the lives of many people, and I am grateful for your investment in this ministry.
In His service for His glory,
Chaplain Denise Venturini-South
